Colombia’s Bavaria Brewery has relaunched its premium beer brand, Club Colombia, with cans made by Canpack with a label design that highlights the country’s history and culture.
Álvaro de Luna, Bavaria’s marketing chief, said: “We want these labels to reflect the pride that makes us unique as a country, a symbol of our identity and our culture.”
Canpack redesigned and manufactured the three cans in gold, red and black to reflect the gold filigree work, weaving traditions and cultural heritage of Colombia’s regions.
The 330ml cans are lacquered in Canpack’s proprietary Matt finish. The gold version also comes in a 269ml size.
Camilo Perez Bustos, general director of Canpack Colombia’s canmaking plant at Tocancipa which started up in 2019, said: “The finishing touch on the new Club Colombia cans is Canpack’s special matt varnish. The cans are smooth to the touch with a velvety softness under the fingertips.”
Canpack Group is part of US-based Giorgi Global Holdings, which manufactures aluminium beverage cans and food packaging, employing 9,000 people in 16 countries.
